Fabulous home on Lake Gaston!!

We were a family of 32 for a reunion. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house is amazing and beautiful and very accommodating. It is fully stocked with everything that you might need. It is clean and comfortable. The grounds were very nice and manicured. Fire pit was awesome. The boat house and dock were so much fun for everyone...we had floats and used the canoe, paddle boards and pontoon boat! The house never felt crowded, it is huge! A great part of our experience was the owners of the house... They are so accommodating and Incredibly nice people. The pictures on the website do not do justice to this spectacular home!

Amazing home with everything to make an amazing vacation

We have a non-stop happy time....more than enough rooms (too many perhaps!?????). Activities available were beyond belief...the lake, dock, water slide, kayaks, rafts, putting green, billiards, movie room, We were a group of 19 ranging in age from 7-72 and everyone had fun.... so rewarding to hear so many little (and big) kids say �this was the best!�

The best rental ever!!!

We have rented many homes in various places over the years through VRBO. This is not your typical rental. The White Heron was the best rental we ever did. We rented the house as a venue for our daughters wedding and we had the rehearsal dinner there also. The house was immaculate and very well appointed. The furnishings and all of the dishes, glassware, appliances and decor were first rate and we would be proud to have them in our own home. If we were just renting for a relaxing vacation we would have been very satisfied. However, since we were renting for such a special occasion we were hoping that it would be perfect. We had very high expectations. This place exceeded every one of our expectations. The owners of the house went above and beyond to make our daughter's wedding one that every parent hopes they can give their daughter. They made us feel as though we were part of their family and we felt that they were having a good time while working extremely hard to please us. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing place to spend a vacation, or have a family reunion.

Spectacular!

We are a family of 14 adults and 5 grandchildren. This house had space enough for all, with plenty of places for the introverts among us to have quiet spaces in which to regain energy. The house is very well appointed with everything one needs and the hosts are gracious enough to leave some spices, laundry detergent and paper goods that are always forgotten when you fly from across the country to a rental house and provision on the fly. Could easily imagine a beautiful intimate wedding in on the grounds in the future, with the sparkling lake in the background. We love, love LOVED it and have booked again for next year already!

Awesome House

This house is great for large groups. It was beautifully furnished and even with 30 people it never felt crowded. The fire pit added outside was a hit for s'mores and the top deck at the pier with the water slide was a hit with the kids of all ages. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. It was absolutely perfect and the owner was so nice, helpful and responsive.

VACATION 2015kids

The house was ideal for our group of 18. We could have had another 6 and still been comfortable. As it was we have 5 families of one big family. Two of the families had members who had to work at computers while there and that was no trouble. They could closet themselves away from the rest until their work was complete. The (2) kitchens worked great. We brought a sailboat and two canoes. One day we rented a pontoon boat to pull kids on the tubes. I think the overall thought was it was better than the beach.
