Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this charming one level home features panoramic views of both the mountains and the horseshoe bend of the New River as it winds thru the mountains. Offering all the modern amenities of home with a rustic feel, it is the perfect place for a weekend, week, or for the season.
As you enter the home, the large stone fireplace (electric logs coming soon) draws your attention to the spacious living and dining area. Curl up in one of the over-sized chairs or on the love seat and spend a while just catching up with your family or connect to the WiFi to plan your adventures during your stay in the Carolina Mountains.
The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, bakeware and everything you will need for preparing a quick snack or even a large family meal. The dining area offers seating for 6 at the table.
The spacious master bedroom with comfy king bed offers a handcrafted headboard and flat screen TV with cable for your viewing pleasure. The hall bath is adjacent to the master bedroom and features a spa quality oversized step-in shower with seat and pebble rock floor. The washer and dryer are also located in the bath area for easy access.
In addition, there are two additional bedrooms for more sleeping space. Both feature queen size beds and lamps for reading a good book before bed.
There is also a beautiful Florida style sunroom featuring comfortable furniture, flat screen TV, and plenty of windows to take in the cool mountain breezes and gorgeous mountain views. With access to the outside patio from this area, you are sure to find this is the place to be. It features plenty of outdoor furniture complete with pillows. Just sit back and relax while taking in the spectacular mountain views and the South Fork of the New River. Another way to relax is to build a fire in the fire pit near the patio area and roast marshmallows or make some s?mores!
Located just 5 minutes from West Jefferson, you are sure to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, friendly folks, and mountain life you've always dreamed about. Be sure to visit the art galleries, wine and cheese shops, and quaint locally owned antique and consignment shops in town. Ever took a drive on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway? Cayce, SCGood and not so good.
Great location, Decent layout for a couple or small family. The second and third bedroom were extremely small. The first evening was warm and there was no air conditioning in the bedroom. That really needs to be addressed. The air conditioners in the house are far away from the bedrooms and were not nearly effective. We would never stay here again because of that issue. There was no dishwasher or dish washing detergent. The Ice maker was frozen. There was no Ice in the house which was shocking for a rental of $160 per night.It was OK, with the view being the major value. There are a number of details that need to be taken care of to make it a quality rental.Contact Owner
