Pretty house with a couple of drawbacks
This is a lovely house that is well maintained, decorated well, and the pantry was more stocked than any house I have rented. It is convenient to Black Mountain and the freeway and just 20 minutes from Asheville. The air conditioning in the upstairs "master bedroom" does not work very well, and we were warm at night. The bed had a plastic cover on the mattress that crinkled every time we moved. One of the downstairs beds sagged in the middle. Although there are two bathrooms, there is only one shower. The teflon pans were pretty battered and we would not use them. I do recommend this property but be aware of some of its drawbacks.joseph c.
georgetown, DEPerfect Location
For the purposes of our trip, the location was perfect. While there, we visited The Biltmore (about 25 minutes away?plan on a full day there - it was awesome), Pigsay Natl Forest where doing the Sliding Rock is a must, and also spent some time in Brevard and Asheville. In fact we planned on 3 nights here and were lucky enough to be gable to add a night. This property was very clean with some bathroom upgrades. However it is very basic-nothing fancy, and could definitely use some furniture upgrades. The primary negative was that the AC was minimal on the 2nd floor which is the 3rd bedroom - a very cute suite. Fortunately my father-in-law doesn?t mind the heat, so it worked. I read another review that mentioned the plastic covering on that bed that crinkles every time you moved on the bed ? yep, that?s the case. My wife and I and our 14 month old stayed in the downstairs bedrooms. One of the beds was pretty uncomfortable so we put our little one in that room in her pack and play. Upon arrival we contacted the company because there was no grill as advertised. They were very prompt in responding, and they brought us the ?shared? grill from the neighboring property. We felt bad because it was a charcoal grill , not a gas one, so we didn?t end up using it after all.Contact Owner
