PROPERTY Description
This place is the perfect family get away! My large family and I love to explore the miles of private family hiking trails, wade in the streams and play on the lake rope swings. We can't get enough of the white water rafting, mountain bike trails, and boating!
In the early 1800's our ancestors discovered the beauty of this secluded area of western North Carolina. My Grandfather helped build the Nantahala Lake Dam after WWII. Little Choga Creek runs right through our backyard into the lake.

The space
When we're done with a day on the lake we love relaxing to the soothing sounds of the fresh water creek behind the house. We vacation here as often as possible, but when we are not here, we love to share our mountain get away with like minded families seeking to leave the worry, stress and busy city life behind for a an escape to the carefree life in the mountains.
Guest access
The entire house is yours for vacation. We encourage you to to tear yourself away from hit though to enjoy the many outdoor activities around the area to include white water rafting, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, and sight seeing.

Other things to note
This is a remote area of Western North Carolina. Cell reception is unavailable in the mountains, however we have satellite internet at the cabin and you can do wifi calling/texting/email etc. We personally love to "disconnect" on vacation but recognize that your family may enjoy hearing from you. Also, we do not allow pets.

It is really a nice place for a big family or several friends' stay.
It is really a nice place for a big family or several friends' stay. The design of the house is perfect, and the basement is also very nice, with a big sitting room. Kids also like the toys. Wifi connection speed is also acceptable. For us, only one day stay, and feeling the time is so limited to enjoy here.Pratik

Great place, Mike should mention the area around his place, its so beautiful and a big wonderful fire place to sit and enjoy. Mike was super helpful and responded within minutes. He will send you a ton of useful information for what things to do around, the restaurants, the events etc. A great place to enjoy with a group of friends.Marianna

It was the perfect place for our family mountain weekend. Mike was super helpful- gave great tips on local places and activities, as well as, places outside of the area. The cabin was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. I hope to be back during the summer to go rafting and to the lake nearby!William

We had a great stay!
We had a great stay! The place was super comfortable, very well stocked and the kids loved it! We particularly loved the huge trainset and the original VHS collection, especially the Disney classics. Mike provided a thorough itinerary of things to do in the area and was always quick to communicate. It was a little patch of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We can highly recommend this place for couples as well as for families.Charity

Mike opened his cabin to my family and i during hurricane Florence for free . God bless him . We were in a state of emergency and god touched his heart to do something so pure .
