Here at Morgan & Wells, each room is tailored to bring comfort and luxury to our guests in this traditional Craftsman Style home.

Morgan and Wells is a lovely Craftsman Style home built in the early 1900’s and currently serves as an intimate 5 guestroom Shelby, NC Bed and Breakfast. In keeping with the heritage of the home, with its polished oak and heart pine floors, 12-foot-high ceilings, and guestrooms decorated contemporary- transitional to embrace modern luxury and Old World Charm.

We have 5 rooms in our Bed and Breakfast :

The James Edward Room : 

In addition to a plush king size bed with a memory foam mattress, this lovely room features an original masonry fireplace that fills the room with warmth and character. Hardwood floors lead straight to the en suite bath where you can melt away your stress in the pedestal tub. For even more relaxation, a private wraparound veranda belongs to you for your morning coffee or high noon tea.

The Lady Anne Room : 

Bold, beautiful and inviting, the Lady Ann room is filled with elegance. This room is decorated in neutral grays with pops of saffron yellow. It boasts a queen size contemporary bed, comfortable reading chair and flat screen TV. In the private en suite there is a bonus dressing room and exquisite bath with standup shower.

La Sal Room : 

This handsomely appointed suite features an original fireplace and a queen size bed. The en suite retains some of the original vintage character but is clearly modern with an upright step-in shower.

The Melvin Maurice Room : 

Handsome and stately best describes this room. The Melvin Maurice is the largest guest room and features a king size bed, original fireplace, 42 inch vintage tub that doubles as a shower. Pinwheel tile surround, immaculate hard wood floors and 14 foot ceilings. Whether business or pleasure the room is equipped with both a sawhorse desk and a cozy mid-century modern chair and ottoman.

The Green Room : 

The Green Room ties luxury and serenity together. Tranquil earth tones and heart pine flooring  allow you to ease into your stay at Morgan & Wells.  As the most decorative room, you will find detailed and intricate masonry throughout, making it true to qualities of a Craftsman-style house. Wrap yourself in the plush linens provided by the inn after relaxing in the clawfoot tub for two to end your busy day. Then cozy up on the king-sized bed to have your own personal sunset  pour in from the six foot windows in this West-facing room, and drift off into serenity.
